Room Parent

Room Parent Responsibilities:

  • Plan 2 room parties and teacher appreciation:

      • Fall Party – October 31st

      Valentine’s Party – February 14th

      Teacher Appreciation-March 4th

      Head Room Parent Tasks:

      • Confirm what parents will be at the party – assign and delegate tasks

      • Call all room parents for each party

      • Make sure note gets sent home to all parents with party details and donation/volunteer requests. All notes need to be approved by the office and sent home in the Wednesday folder a week or two before the party. (Wednesday 10/10 for Fall party and Wednesday 2/6 for Valentine’s Party) Notes should be approved the Friday before to give you ample time to make any corrections and to have copies made in the office.

      • Coordinate all donations and volunteers to make sure party is planned adequately.

      • Communicate with teacher about time and details of the parties.

      • This year due to space issues we have no large group rooms available

      Other Information:

        • We are still determining if Kindergarten classes can wear Halloween costumes-check with teachers.

        • PTSO will provide a snack and drink for each child.

        • 2nd Grade has specials last hour, so an alternate time will need to be chosen for the parties.

        • Parties are generally from 2:00 to 2:53. If your class wishes to choose a different time you must approve this with the teacher.
